Towne Storage, originally built in 1916, is a 100,000 SF TI building individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Initially serving as storage rental spaces and a paper mill, this timber-framed brick building underwent extensive renovations to transform it into creative office and retail space. To meet safety standards, seismic upgrades were implemented. Additionally, a 6th floor, two roof decks, and ADA improvements were incorporated. The Stoner Electric Group, a PRIME partner, played a vital role in this core & shell project, offering comprehensive design-build electrical and fire alarm services that adhered to the strict requirements of the Historic Landmarks Commission. The project involved the installation of entirely new electrical and fire alarm systems, including improvements under brick roadways. Architectural lighting was strategically added to accentuate the building’s charming character.
