Prime was awarded the core and shell as well as the TI’s for both towers of the Troy Block project. The original building was designed in 1927 by architect Victor W. Voorhees, the two buildings that anchor Troy Block were once home to businesses as diverse as the Boren Investment Company Warehouse, David Smith Furniture, United States Radiator Corporation, and most notably, Troy Laundry Company. Troy Block’s towers have 50% more square footage per floor than any other building in South Lake Union. Most of the ornamental brickwork and terra cotta detailing of the original buildings will be maintained in the new facade. As always, Prime approached this project with enthusiasm and attention to collaboration. The prime management team worked closely with the design team to meet the expectations of all stakeholders.
